Friday- optional hours as needed, if needed in addition to normal Monday- Thursday work week schedule. Not every week. This could be things like an essential harvest, farm sitting, special projects etc.
Wind Haven Farm Part Time Team Member There is one position available for the 2022 season. Please keep in mind that we have now moved to King William County near Central Garage. This is about 40-45 minutes from most areas in Richmond.
The Wind Haven Farm's season where we typically need part time team members runs from mid the beginning of April- until the second week in December. Part time team members will be working 20-30 hours a week on average. Employees will perform many tasks associated with flower farming including: seed starting, planting, harvesting, farm maintenance, pest control, soil preparation, stage of harvest, post harvest care, bouquet making, and order processing.
Applicants must be able to work at least Monday, Tuesday, and either Wednesday or Thursday, along with occasional extra hours on Friday if an employee would like more hours and we need extra work done.
If you enjoy working hard, being outdoors, are a self-starter, detail-oriented, positive, creative, love flowers, color, nature, thrive in a fast paced team working environment, and are physically able to work all day in all weather conditions and lift heavy objects (this is still farming folks, even if it is flower farming), please fill out the form below.
Wind Haven Farm Full Time Team Member We will be hiring one person for this position for the 2022 season. Please keep in mind that we have now moved to King William County near Central Garage. This is about 40-45 minutes from most areas in Richmond.
Full time team members work Monday-Thursday and typically work 40 hours a week. The typical season for our full time team members can run from early January- early March as part time 2-3 days a week then to full time in March through the second week of December. Full time employees are off for the holidays until the first week of January.
Full time team members also perform all the same tasks listed above in the part time description, with the difference that they should be prepared to take on more responsibility and leadership as they are present for the farms' entire work week operations compared to part time team members.
We prefer that applicants for the full time team member position have some farming experience, although if you have a resume that shows us a skillset we find valuable for our team, we do not absolutely require experience as long as you arrive with a can do positive attitude ready to learn.
